| The Hoover Site Council depends upon parent participation. It consists of five parents, elected at large, and five members of the Hoover staff, including the principal. The Hoover Site Council is responsible for administering the single plan for student achievement, a state program whereby schools are given funds to be used as determined on-site. Members allocate funds which are provided by the state under the School-Based Program Coordinated Act. The Site Council shares in decision-making regarding school programs and goals.
While we recognize the tremendous demands on families, the Hoover Site Council along with the Hoover PTA are important forums for communicating information and providing feedback. As with all organizations, the Hoover Site Council and the Hoover PTA are only as effective as we make them.
